"A crisis in Nigeria, a humanitarian disaster for the region. Millions of people living in the region are terrorised by Boko Haram and in need of protection and assistance" - The UN refugee Agency.
The Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Borno state is home to over 33 000 displaced persons, mainly woman and children. Life in the camp is very difficult with many having to live in tents and have limited access to medical facilities. Everyday each and every one of the people in the camp hope that their circumstances will change. Change back to how life was before the insurgents attached them & to live a normal life again.
Assisting the IDP camp was one of Airtel Touching Lives most ambitious projects to date, but there is nothing that can stop a determined team from helping those in need.
